Matt Gamston   Stuart Harding
Matt was born in Gloucester and grew up hearing about the good news of Jesus as his parents were both Christians and part of Trinity Baptist Church. He became a Christian when he was still young after clearly understanding his need of Jesus and asking him to forgive him and be his Saviour.

When Matt was 25 he left England to go and work in the Philippines and lived there for the next 11 years. To begin with he was part of a church in the heart of Metro Manila working with the many homeless people in the area, before then moving further south to work with a church in San Pedro helping with preaching, teaching and training.

Matt came back to England in 2014 and became one of the pastors at Trinity Baptist Church the following year. Matt is married to Becky and they have two children.

Stuart grew up in Bangor, Northern Ireland. He is thankful for his upbringing, during which he was surrounded by Christian examples at home, church and school.

Stuart became a Christian some time in his teenage years, though often struggled with the assurance that he really was a Christian. He was greatly helped in resolving this by understanding that when God saves us through Jesus he does all that is needed to start and finish the rescue.

After studying in Preston in 1993-96, he moved to Southport for post-graduate studies. There he joined Grace Baptist Church, Southport, and from 2003 he was trained by the church for pastoral ministry. He was called to be the Co-Pastor in 2008 and served in the church until February 2022.

Stuart was called to Co-Pastor Trinity Baptist Church with Matt in Oct 2022, to commence ministry in April 2023.

Stuart is married to Joanna, and they have two children, Lucy and Daniel.

Alan Gilmore   Adrian Brixey
Alan grew up in Northern Ireland and attended church regularly as a child. On arriving at university, he began to seriously question his beliefs, but God provided for Alan a group of friends who showed him that they had a genuine faith in Jesus Christ. Alan came to understand that trying to be a good person was not going to save him from God’s judgment. Nevertheless, when one of the girls in his friendship group said she could not go out with him because he was not a Christian, Alan was really offended. However, God used this to convict Alan of his sin and his need of Christ as his Saviour. Alan surrendered his life to Jesus Christ on Easter Sunday 1972.

Later, when Alan asked the girl to go out with him again, she readily accepted. Elizabeth has now been his wife for 47 years. Since marrying, Alan and Elizabeth have moved with Alan’s employment from Northern Ireland to Pakistan to North East England and finally to Gloucester, joining Trinity Baptist Church in 1986. In 2005, Alan took early retirement to become more involved in pastoral and teaching work at Trinity and to help other churches without pastors.

Alan and Elizabeth have three married sons and 8 grandchildren.
Adrian was born in Ipswich. He was fostered until being adopted at the age of 12 and he has two half brothers from Iraq. Adrian had never been to church or met a Christian until he was 17; after that he spent a few years angry with Christians and with God. In teaching college he met many Christians who, through love and care, demonstrated the reality of Jesus. Adrian gave his life to Jesus as his saviour on May 3rd 1986. He spent some years teaching in primary schools before being called into cross-cultural mission work overseas.

Adrian lived in SE Asia reaching out to those of other faiths for 12 years, then returned to the UK to continue to reach out to the lost alongside his wife Antonia. They both work full time as Christian workers with their 6 children, James, Joy, Grace, Jemimah, Elizabeth and Joseph.

Adrian is an Elder at Trinity Baptist Church. He has a heart to encourage others, support church leaders in serving God and always seeks to help the church open its doors to the lost.
