From 2007-2009 Phil studied at the London Theological Seminary. Before that he spent two years working as assistant pastor at Berean Baptist Church in Michigan, USA where he learnt a lot from Pastor Robert Dickie.
Phil and his family love living in Gloucester and feel very glad to be a part of the Trinity Baptist Church family. Phil enjoys watching and playing sport – including football, golf and badminton – and reading. He is a member of the Executive Committee of the European Mission Fellowship and a governor at Calton Primary School.
Matt was born and brought up in Gloucester and became a Christian when he was 9 years old. He studied at ‘Wales Evangelical School of Theology’ before moving to the Philippines in 2003.
For the first few years there Matt worked with a church in the heart of Metro Manila and was part of a team working with the many homeless people in the area.
He then moved outside of Manila to work with a church in San Pedro helping with preaching, teaching and training. There were also lots of opportunities to speak at seminars, conferences and Bible colleges in different parts of the Philippines.
Matt came back to England in 2014 and began working with Trinity Baptist Church the following year. He married Becky in 2016.
